Camping Tutorials Time

Campfire

1. Cut out a circle of cardboard.
2. Find some thin sticks in your yard.
3. Find some moss or buy fake moss.
4. Find some construction paper or felt(optional)
5.Glue the moss down with glue(hot glue works best for this project)
6.Break sticks to appropriate length and hot glue into a bundle, tepee, or the campfire design you prefer.
7. You can cut your construction paper or felt in to flames add glue them to if you would like.

Marshmallows on sticks

1. Use sticks left over from your campfire.
2.Make them the appropriate length for your doll.
3.Dip part of the end in some school glue.
4.Rip off part of a cotton ball and wrap it around the stick.
5.Let dry.

 Cooler

1. Find an appropriate size container with a lid.(I used an instant coffee box
2.Take off the lid and cover the bottom with blue or red foam.
3.Cut strips and put two on the back and front.
4.Put one on each side and cut tiny strips to make handles.
5.Cut a strip to go horizontally between the two strips in the front.
6.Glue two black buttons near the back on each side for wheels.
7.You can glue a white button in the front to make it look like a drain.
8.You can also add a brand name to your cooler or put "ICE".

Here are some other things you can do:
  • cover your lid with white foam
  • glue the plastic that holds a foam roller to the back for a handle
  • put doll sized food in jewelry bags(they look like Ziploc bags!)
  • Glue blue foam around tiny clear bubbles (like you would get at a wedding) and make your own brand like "fresh mountain spring"

How To Make Your Own Collapsible American Girl Doll Classroom

My sister really wanted a classroom, but we just didn't have the room! Well we get stuff mailed to us frequently and when I was taking out some cardboard to the recycling I found a piece that was folded into thirds. I decided to make a collapsible classroom. It is very cute and I even made some supplies!

This is an overview of the whole school.

The white board is from an old broken dry erase board from $ Tree. The sign is made out of foam. There will a be a link for all the printables at the bottom of the post.
The weather charts and classroom rules are printables the rest is from scrapbook supplies.
The top photo is from an American girl magazine and some more printables.

Here are our supply drawers they come from the 1$ tree and there was a 4 pack of small pencil sharpeners. The "stapler" is actually a tiny hole punch.
I made each doll a notebook for school. I just cut up some paper and then stapled foam over it and wrote their name. In the top draw are some rulers and mini markers. The rulers are made of foam they are 3 inches long. we had the mini rulers laying around.
